Making the transition into parenthood is a time filled with many mixed emotions – some of them difficult to cope with. I can help! I work with both women and men who are seeking support during the planning, pregnancy, and postpartum period. I offer counseling to help individuals cope with the natural and common issues that arise during this major life transition – including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, feeling stressed/overwhelmed, work/life balance, and grief/loss.

Many individuals feel unable to ask for or receive support from friends and family during this time of need. There can be a stigma attached to any feeling that isn’t positive – this is supposed to be the best time of your life, right? Many people feel that they are being ungrateful or dramatic if they express anything other than joy about becoming parents. My role is to make sure that you feel supported, validated in how you feel, and empowered to work through whatever struggles you are experiencing! I’m looking forward to working through them with you, and coming up with some ways together that you can get back to feeling like yourself again.
